Gallery Rifle
This discipline includes what were known as the Police Turning Target disciplines. Gallery rifle is shot on the 25 yard range using the turning target facility. Some of the gallery rifle courses of fire have both precision and timed elements and some involve shooting from several distances. For the timed elements, the course of fire will begin with the target edge on to the firing point. The target is then turned to face the firing point for a preset period during which the competitor must complete the course of fire. At the end of this period, the target automatically turns edge on to the firing point.
Gallery Rifle disciplines can be shot with a variety of types of weapon and calibre depending on the particular course of fire.
